Among others, Sheikh Bashir Uddin, the Commerce Adviser of Bangladesh, His Excellency Mr. Ramis Şen, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Bangladesh, His Excellency Haji Haris bin Othman, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Bangladesh and the host His Excellency Dr. Abdelouahab Saidani, Ambassador of Algeria to Bangladesh, Mohd Nurul Mustafa, President of Bangladesh-Algeria Business Forum (BABF) and other Members of the BABF were present on the occasion. Additionally, high-profile dignitaries attended the Iftar gathering, including senior representatives from the Embassy of Algeria and other High Commissions and Embassies, prominent Bangladeshi business figures, trade association leaders, and policymakers. The event underscored the commitment of both nations to enhancing trade relations and investment opportunities, particularly in infrastructure, energy, textiles, and technology sectors.

Md Mamunur Rahman, a key representative of BABF, reiterated the forum’s commitment to expanding business networks and fostering trade collaborations. During his presentation, he pointed out that Algeria presents a strategic gateway for Bangladeshi businesses into North Africa and the wider MENA region. “As we share this blessed moment of Iftar, we also celebrate the spirit of partnership and growth. BABF is committed to creating new business avenues that will benefit both Bangladesh and Algeria in the long term,” he added.

Beyond the formal discussions, the event provided an excellent opportunity for networking among business executives, industry experts, and government representatives. Attendees engaged in fruitful discussions on potential trade agreements, investment policies, and business expansions. The evening concluded with a traditional Iftar feast featuring a blend of Algerian and Bangladeshi cuisine, further reinforcing the cultural connections between the two nations. The success of this event has paved the way for further bilateral trade discussions, business forums, and investment dialogues. The Embassy of Algeria and BABF reaffirmed their commitment to organizing similar engagements to strengthen economic cooperation and people-to-people connections
