Desk Report:
Five development projects worth a total of Tk 483.43 crore have been approved at the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) meeting held in the capital. This is the ninth meeting of ECNEC for the 2025-26 fiscal year and the first of the current government.
It was informed in the meeting that out of the total cost of the approved projects, Tk 390.84 crore will be provided by the government from its own funds. The remaining Tk 92.59 crore will come from project loans or grants.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman presided over the meeting held at the conference room of the Cabinet Division in the capital. The concerned ministers and senior officials were present in the meeting.
