Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh Hosts Farewell Reception for Grameen Bank Delegation ahead of China visit

Ahead of their visit to China, the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh has organized a farewell reception in honor of the Grameen Bank and scholarship recipients.

The event, organized on Sunday (July 20), was attended by Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen as the chief guest. He delivered a welcome speech to the delegates and emphasized the long-standing China-Bangladesh friendship.

Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Honorable Vice Chancellor of North South University and Chairman of Grameen Bank, was also present at the event. In addition, a total of 15 members of the Grameen Bank and a delegation from various sectors participated in the reception.

In his speech, Ambassador Yao Wen assured of China’s continued cooperation in human resource development of Bangladesh and wished the delegation a successful visit.

Grameen Bank Chairman Professor Hannan Chowdhury expressed gratitude for the hospitality of the Chinese Embassy.
