Chief Advisor lays foundation stone of ‘Sampriti Bhaban’

Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus laid the foundation stone of ‘Sampriti Bhaban’ at the International Buddhist Monastery in Dhaka on Sunday (April 13, 2025). The ceremony was organized by the Bangladesh Buddhist Federation.

Speaking as the chief guest at the event, the chief advisor said, “This Buddhist monastery has been preserving religious, social and cultural heritage and conducting various public welfare activities including technical education, paying homage to Gautam Buddha’s message of non-violence and equality for a long time. The ‘Sampriti Bhaban’ of the International Buddhist Monastery will play a glorious role by carrying the tradition of harmony and humanity at the national and international levels.”

Religious Affairs Advisor Dr. A. F. M Khalid Hossain, Advisor to the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Supradeep Chakma, Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman and Acting Chairman of the Bangladesh Buddhist Federation Professor Dr. Sukomal Barua.
