Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Chairman inspects humanitarian activities in Rohingya camps

The newly appointed Chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), Major General Professor Dr. Md. Azizul Islam (Retd.), Managing Board Members Mr. Muhammad Tuhin Farabi and Dr. Mahmuda Alam Mitu inspected the ongoing humanitarian activities of the Society for the displaced Myanmar people living in the camp.

During the visit, the Chairman and Managing Board Members of BDRCS observed various humanitarian activities being conducted under the Camp Population Movement Operation (PMO) and Myanmar Refugee Relief Operation (MRRO). He stressed on the need for sustainable solutions to this problem and long-term humanitarian assistance.

During the visit, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Secretary General Dr. Kabir Md. Ashraf Alam (ndc); Md. Mizanur Rahman, Director, Disaster Response; Akram Ali Khan, Acting Head of Population Movement Operations (PMO); Hrishikesh Harichandan, Head of Sub-Office, IFRC; Mohammad Thabet Safi, Head of Program, Bangladesh, Qatar Red Cross Society, and other concerned officials were also present.
