Bangladesh Hockey Federation President and Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan, BBP, OSP, GUP, NSWUC, PSC, congratulated and wished the Bangladesh Hockey team for getting the opportunity in the Hockey Junior World Cup. Bangladesh qualified for the Hockey Junior World Cup for the first time by defeating Thailand 7-2 in the Junior Asia Cup held in Oman on 03 December 2024, which is an unforgettable milestone for the Bangladesh Hockey team.
It is worth noting that even during the country’s crisis, the Hockey Federation President has ensured the participation of the men’s and women’s hockey teams in the Asia Cup held in Oman by overcoming the financial crisis with his tireless efforts.
He has arranged suitable coaches, high-quality equipment, training jerseys and nutritious food for the players, which has played a helpful role in increasing their morale. He also made timely arrangements for advanced training camps to fill the training gap of the hockey team and organized significant practice matches with the hockey teams of the Army, Navy and Air Force. As a result, the players of the Bangladesh Hockey Team were able to participate in the Junior Asia Cup Hockey with full preparation.
Also, the President of the Hockey Federation and the Chief of the Bangladesh Air Force provided inspiration and necessary guidance to the players before the hockey team left for Oman. It is expected that the Bangladesh Hockey Team will move forward further with his sincere efforts and efficiency in the development of hockey.
