State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat has said that there is a huge potential for international golf tourism in Bangladesh.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the ‘Golf House Golf Awards 2026’ organized at the Crown Plaza adjacent to the airport in the capital on Saturday (August 8, 2026). Awards were distributed among the winners and top-ranked golfers of the ‘Executive Cup Golf Tournament 2026’ at the event. Golf media platform ‘Golf House’ organized the flagship award ceremony.
The State Minister said that sports tourism is expanding rapidly around the world, of which golf tourism is an important part. Golf is not just a game; it also plays an important role in business, tourism and increasing international friendship and communication.
He said that if Bangladesh’s golf courses, tourism infrastructure and international standard facilities are further improved, Bangladesh can be established as an attractive golf tourism destination in South Asia.
At the event, Golf House founder and editor AMM Nazrul Hossain said that the ‘Golf House Golf Awards’ have been organized with the aim of recognizing the excellence, contribution and tradition of golf in Bangladesh.
He said that through this award, people who have made significant contributions to the development of golf are being honored. He expressed the hope that this award will be established as a national benchmark for excellence in golf in the future.
AMM Nazrul Hossain also said that such initiatives will play an important role in increasing golf participation, partnership and international cooperation in Bangladesh as well as in the continuous development of the game of golf in the country.
At the event, awards were given to the winners of the ‘Executive Cup Golf Tournament 2026’ and the top finishers in various categories.
