Bangladesh Embassy in Nepal holds fish display ahead of Fish Festival

To showcase the diversity and taste of Bangladesh’s freshwater and marine fish to the Nepalese people, the Bangladesh Embassy, ​​Nepal organized a special fish display at the embassy premises on Monday (November 24, 2025) at 4 pm. It was organized as a preview of the “Bangladesh Fish Festival” to be held on November 28.

Leading fish exporting companies of Bangladesh presented their products at the event. Managers, executives of various hotels and resorts in Nepal, along with a significant number of importers from the hospitality sector and the related business community were present.

President of the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) Binayak Shah thanked the Bangladesh Embassy for organizing the fish display. He said that this initiative will further strengthen the business relations between the two countries.

In his welcome speech, the Bangladesh Ambassador highlighted the special taste, quality, historical importance and global reputation of Bangladesh’s marine fish, including freshwater fish. He also mentioned the potential of the country’s export-oriented fisheries sector. The Ambassador thanked the guests from the hospitality sector of Nepal for their presence and expressed gratitude for the participation of HAN.

It is to be noted that the Bangladesh Embassy, ​​Kathmandu is going to organize the “Bangladesh Fish Festival” on 28 November 2025 at the embassy premises. It is learnt that diplomats from various countries, high-ranking government officials of Nepal and top business leaders will participate in the event.
