Bangladesh Embassy in Bahrain organizes mobile consular awareness camp for expatriates in Heed area

The Bangladesh Embassy, ​​Manama, Bahrain organized a special mobile consular awareness camp for expatriates at Heed Community Center on Friday (June 20, 2025) with the participation of various government institutions and international organizations of Bahrain. Through this camp, the embassy provided all kinds of consular services to expatriate Bangladeshis and provided advice on various issues including Bahraini laws and regulations, traffic laws, visa amendment procedures, workers’ rights and general healthcare to increase awareness among them. In addition to the embassy team, representatives from the Bahraini Ministry of Labor, Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), International Organization for Migration (IOM) and World Health Organization (WHO) were present at the camp.

The Honorable Ambassador of the Bangladesh Embassy, ​​Md. Rais Hasan Sarwar, NDC, personally attended the consular camp and listened to the various problems of the expatriates and tried to find immediate solutions. In his speech, the Honorable Ambassador highlighted the purpose and context of organizing such an awareness seminar by the Embassy for the foreign guests and Bangladeshi expatriates. He thanked all the representatives of various government institutions and international organizations of Bahrain for attending the seminar and expressed gratitude to them on behalf of the Embassy for providing awareness advice to Bangladeshis. Other officers and officials of the Embassy participated in the seminar and consular camp.

It is worth mentioning that in addition to the awareness seminar, the embassy organized a day-long mobile consular service camp, through which expatriate Bangladeshis living in Heed, Galali, Arad and surrounding areas of Bahrain were able to easily avail various consular and labor welfare services including passport services, birth registration, legal assistance, Wage Earners membership registration services, free medical consultation. Members of the Bangladeshi community participated in the seminar and availed various services provided at the camp. The expatriates expressed their satisfaction with the activities of the embassy. It is worth mentioning that such expatriate-friendly consular services will be provided in phases in different parts of Bahrain in Bangladeshi-dominated areas.
