Mr. Sarkar Omar Farooq has joined as the new Superintendent of Police of Khulna District. He officially assumed charge at the office of the Superintendent of Police of Khulna District on Sunday (August 23, 2026).
When the new Superintendent of Police reached the office, he was given a floral greeting and a warm welcome by the District Police. At this time, a smart team of the District Police provided him with a guard of honor.
After receiving the guard of honor, Superintendent of Police Sarkar Omar Farooq got acquainted with the senior officers of the District Police and police members of various ranks. Later, he took charge as the Superintendent of Police of Khulna District from the outgoing Superintendent of Police Mr. Mohammad Tajul Islam, BPM-Seba.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Mr. Anisuzzaman, Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Mr. Abir Siddiqui Shuvro, PPM-Service, Additional Superintendent of Police (A-Circle) Mr. Saiful Islam and Assistant Superintendent of Police (Trainee) Mr. Sheikh Alamgir Hossain, Mr. Md. Babul Hossain Howlader, Mr. M. M. Tariq-ullah, Mr. Shahedul Islam and Mr. Biplob Kumar Nandi were present at the time of taking charge.
In addition, officers in charge, outpost and camp in charge of various police stations of Khulna District Police, along with officers and police members of various ranks were present at the time.
