Bangladesh appreciates Pakistan’s role in resolving Gulf conflict

Diplomatic Desk:

Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met in a bilateral meeting at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkey. In the meeting held on Friday (April 17, 2026), the two leaders discussed in detail the latest progress in the ongoing talks to resolve the ongoing conflict in the Gulf region.

In the meeting, Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman praised Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives to find a peaceful solution to the conflict and termed this effort as “important and timely”.

The ministers of the two countries also discussed various ways to further strengthen bilateral relations. They expressed optimism about enhancing mutual partnership in trade, diplomatic cooperation and enhancing regional stability.

Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir was also present at the meeting.
