Industry Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan said, the eco-friendly Atlas Electric Scooter promises to build green, clean and sustainable cities. This scooter will play a role in easy and affordable transportation for the public, including the young generation. It will save foreign exchange by reducing our energy dependence. EV scooters will also help protect the environment by reducing carbon emissions.
The Industry Advisor also said, the foundation of building a new Bangladesh through a mass uprising is environmentally friendly, technology-based and sustainable industrialization. The government has always supported the development of domestic industries and will continue to do so in the future. Our goal is that the people of Bangladesh can further strengthen the national economy by using world-class domestic products. In that regard, this electric scooter marketing activity is undoubtedly a significant step.
Industry Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan said this while inaugurating the Atlas Electric Motorcycle marketing program at the factory premises of Atlas Bangladesh Limited in Tongi, Gazipur on Wednesday (November 5, 2025). Industries Secretary Md. Obaidur Rahman, BSEC Chairman Md. Anwarul Alam and Professor Mohammad Ridwanul Haque were present at the time.
At the inauguration ceremony, Industries Secretary Md. Obaidur Rahman said, the world is now taking initiatives to become environmentally friendly through the use of electric vehicles. The electric vehicle policy in Bangladesh is on the verge of being finalized. We entered the EV world through Atlas’ scooter. We will also bring EV cars to the market.
Atlas Bangladesh Limited has launched four types of “Atlas Electric Scooters” in the market. The four different models of Atlas EV brand scooters are S-100; S-90; S-80 and S-70. Through a memorandum of understanding with Zhejiang Luyuan Electric Vehicle Co. Ltd. (Luyuan), a popular electric bike manufacturer in China, Atlas Bangladesh Limited of the Ministry of Industries has imported and assembled parts and brought four scooters to the market in the first phase. These scooters have been specially designed keeping in mind the weather and roads of Bangladesh.
Senior officials of the Ministry of Industries, Atlas Bangladesh Limited and related organizations and distributors of Atlas Electric Scooters were also present at the event.
