Alliance Française de Chittagong celebrated its 60th anniversary with various events. The day-long event included cultural performances, art exhibitions and the inauguration of a new French language classroom at Chittagong University.

Marie Masdupuy, Ambassador of France to Bangladesh, was the chief guest at the special event. In her speech, she recalled the role of Alliance Française de Chittagong in promoting the French language and culture and expressed hope that Bangladesh-France relations would strengthen further in the future.

Established in 1965, Alliance Française de Chittagong is one of the leading centers for French language education in southeastern Bangladesh. Over the past six decades, the organization has deepened the relationship between Bangladesh and France through language education and cultural exchange.

Alliance Française is an international network of institutions that began in Paris in 1883. Its founders were Paul Cambon and Pierre Fonse. Renowned figures such as Jules Verne, Louis Pasteur, Ferdinand de Lesseps, Armand Callan, and Ernest Renan helped in its early journey.

In its six-decade journey, Alliance Française de Chittagong has become a well-known platform not only for language education, but also for French art, culture, and literature.
