Swedish Embassy welcomes 32 Bangladeshi scholarship recipients

Aiming to further strengthen the future relationship between Sweden and Bangladesh through education, innovation and cooperation, 32 talented Bangladeshi youth are leaving for Sweden for higher education. These ambassadors of change have been selected under three prestigious programs of the Swedish Institute.

Among them are—
🔹 14 “SI Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP)” scholarship recipients
🔹 7 senior leaders in the “Global Executive Programme (GEP)”
🔹 11 selected under the “Women in STEM” program

These scholars will study various subjects including artificial intelligence, supply chain management, forest biotechnology, textile innovation at various leading universities in Sweden.

On this occasion, the Swedish Ambassador to Dhaka, Nikolas Klaström, hosted a reception at the embassy, where he congratulated the new scholars and wished them well on their journey ahead.

Also present at the event were members of the SI Alumni Network and the Sweden Alumni Network in Bangladesh, who, as ‘co-ambassadors’, play an important role in promoting Swedish values such as sustainability, innovation and inclusion in Bangladesh.
