Nepal Ambassador Calls for Strengthening Nepal-Bangladesh Ties in Multifaceted Areas, Including Trade, Energy, Education

Nepalese Ambassador to Bangladesh Ghanshyam Bhandari has highlighted the positive progress in Nepal-Bangladesh bilateral relations and called for further deepening trade, investment, energy, education and people-to-people ties between the two countries.

He was speaking at a roundtable discussion titled ‘Bangladesh-Nepal Relations: A New Perspective’. The discussion held in the capital Dhaka was jointly organized by the Center for Policy Dialogue (CPD) and the Nepal Economic Forum (NEF).

The Ambassador laid special emphasis on improving communication systems, increasing cultural exchanges and tourism cooperation so that the ties between the two countries become stronger.

Highlighting the need to work together in regional and multilateral forums, the Ambassador said that Bangladesh and Nepal can play an effective role together in all these areas, including Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), climate change, migration, disaster preparedness and peacekeeping missions.

He called for continuing this cooperation and strengthening research-based efforts to build a strong economic partnership.
