New horizons for bilateral ties through Nepalese doctors studying in Bangladesh

A delegation of the “Society for Nepalese Doctors from Bangladesh”, an organization of Nepalese doctors who have received education in Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Ambassador Md. Shafiqur Rahman at the Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu.

During the meeting, members of the organization briefed the Ambassador about the mission, vision and ongoing activities of the organization. The Ambassador praised their unity, solidarity and the mentality of moving forward together. At the same time, he appreciated their contribution in increasing mutual cooperation between Bangladesh and Nepal and said that these doctors are presenting Bangladesh as a positive brand.

The discussion also exchanged views on possible avenues for bilateral cooperation between Bangladesh and Nepal in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors. The delegation said that they are planning to organize a reunion program of former Nepalese doctors studying in Bangladesh in Kathmandu soon.
