Mr. M. A. Jabbar, Managing Director of DBL Group, recently participated as a distinguished panelist at the “Multi-Stakeholder Workshop on Circular Textile in Bangladesh.” The workshop was jointly organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), and Policy Exchange Bangladesh.
The event brought together key stakeholders from the textile and apparel sector, government agencies, and development partners to co-create actionable solutions and foster stronger cross-sectoral collaboration in promoting circularity within the textile industry.
During the panel discussion, Mr. Jabbar emphasized the urgent need for the industry to transition towards sustainable practices.
Also present at the event were newly elected BGMEA Vice President Ms. Bidya Amrit Khan and Mr. Md. Ariful Hoque, Director General (Joint Secretary) of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA).
