Russian House in Dhaka Hosts Seminar on Contributions of Soviet and Russian University Graduates to Bangladesh’s Socio-Economic Development

On Thursday (June 19, 2025) the Russian House in Dhaka held a seminar dedicated to the contributions of Soviet and Russian university graduates to Bangladesh’s socio-economic development.

The program began with welcoming speeches highlighting the importance of academic exchange with Russia for the growth of key sectors in Bangladesh’s economy. Speakers emphasized that thousands of professionals trained in Soviet and Russian institutions have made invaluable contributions to the country’s industry, science, culture, and healthcare.

As part of the event, an exhibition of reproductions by great Russian artists of the “Silver Age” was presented with the support of Rosatom State Corporation, marking the 80th anniversary of Russia’s nuclear industry.

The seminar was attended by representatives of government and public organizations, academic and educational institutions, students, cultural figures, and members of the Soviet Alumni Association of Bangladesh.
