Grażyna Baranowska, Vice-Chairperson of the United Nations Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances (WGEID), led a delegation on a courtesy call on to the Chief of Army Staff at Army Headquarters on Monday (16 June 2025).
Grażyna Baranowska raised concerns regarding alleged incidents involving a few Bangladesh Army personnel previously deputed to various organizations (e.g., RAB, DGFI, BGB). In response, the Chief of Army Staff clarified that such personnel operate under the full command and administrative control of the respective organisations. He further reaffirmed that the Bangladesh Army remains firmly committed to upholding justice and human rights. The Army continues to extend full cooperation to national and international investigative mechanisms.
