Algeria’s Balat Brothers Slaughterhouse Company signs $1.2 million deal to export animal protein to Bangladesh

A USD 1.2 million deal was signed between Algeria’s Balat Brothers Slaughterhouse Company and Bangladesh’s Ashta Feed Industries Limited on Tuesday (May 20, 2025) for the export of animal protein. Algerian Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Professor Kamel Regig, was present at the signing ceremony of an important agreement to export animal protein to Bangladesh.

The agreement was signed by Balat Group General Manager Lakhdar Balat and Ashta Feed Industries Limited Chairman Mosharraf Hossain Chowdhury.

In this context, it was informed that Balat Brothers Slaughterhouse Company has exported a total of $2.5 million worth of animal protein to Bangladesh in the last three years. With this new agreement, the company’s annual export value is expected to increase to $3.5 million.
