Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Organization delegation meets IGP

A high-level delegation from the US-based Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Organization paid a courtesy call on the Inspector General of Police, Bangladesh Baharul Alam BPM.

A three-member delegation led by the organization’s President Kerry Kennedy, Vice-President (International Advocacy and Litigation) Angelita Baeyens, and Asia Staff Attorney Catherine Cooper met with the IGP at the Police Headquarters on Wednesday (May 14, 2025) morning.

During the meeting, the delegation discussed the human rights situation in Bangladesh and other issues.

The IGP informed the delegation that the Bangladesh Police is striving to uphold human rights while enforcing the law to ensure transparency and accountability of the police.

Senior police officers were present at the time.
