The Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) organized two one-day long orientation sessions on its Management Information System (MIS) for 60 staff members from the National Headquarters (NHQ) on 21 and 22 April 2025 at Hotel Holiday Inn, Dhaka.

The orientations aimed to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of the MIS, covering all its modules, core functionalities, practical applications, and how the system supports systematic data management and streamlines organizational processes.

The event was graced by the honorable Chairman of BDRCS, Major General Prof. Dr. Md. Azizul Islam (Retd.), whose presence and insights greatly inspired the participants. Other distinguished guests who added significant value to the event included Dr. Kabir M Ashraf Alam ndc, Secretary General of BDRCS; Ranjan Mohnot, Country Representative of Röda Korset in Bangladesh; Raquibul Alam, Senior Manager, Programme Support; and Sayma Ferdowsy, Director of the Planning and Development Department.

In their remarks, the Chairman and Secretary General emphasized the pivotal role of MIS in ensuring systematic and streamlined data collection, collation, analysis, and visualization—ultimately contributing to more efficient, transparent, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Through these orientation sessions, participants gained hands-on experience with the MIS platform, enabling them to efficiently manage and utilize data for improved planning, reporting, and impact measurement.
