The Government of Bangladesh has accorded the status of State Minister to Ashiq Chowdhury, Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA).
A notification in this regard was issued by the Cabinet Division on Monday, April 7. The notification was signed by Jaheda Parveen, Secretary of Coordination and Reforms.
According to the Cabinet Division circular, Ashiq Chowdhury will enjoy the status, salary, allowances, and other benefits equivalent to that of a State Minister during his tenure. The order comes into immediate effect.
