A discussion meeting and Iftar Mahfil titled “Safety and Security in Journalism” was held at the Zilla Parishad Auditorium in Joydevpur, Gazipur on Monday (March 24, 2025) at the initiative of the Gazipur District Television Journalists Club.
Gazipur District Television Journalists Club President Fazlul Haque presided over the discussion meeting. Gazipur District Police Superintendent Chowdhury Jaber Sadek was present as the chief guest. GMP Deputy Police Commissioner Rabiul Hasan was present as the special guest. Media personality Mobarak Hossain and journalists from various electronic and print media were also present.
Salauddin Chowdhury, Director of DBC Channel and Chairman of Stylish Garments, took charge as the sole advisor of the club at the discussion meeting. His wife, Managing Director of Stylish Garments, Maksuda Chowdhury, was present at the time.
The discussion meeting discussed the importance of conducting public welfare activities and honest journalism with journalists in Gazipur district.
