President mourns death of Adviser Hassan Arif

President Mohammed Shahabuddin on Friday (20 December, 2024) expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Civil Aviation and Tourism Adviser of the Interim Government A F Hassan Arif.

In a message of condolence, he said the death of A F Hassan Arif is an irreparable loss for Bangladesh.

The Head of the State prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his deepest sympathy to the bereaved family members.

A senior lawyer of Bangladesh Supreme Court, Hassan Ariff died of a massive cardiac arrest at 3.35pm today at the city’s Labaid hospital. He was 85.

He was the Attorney General of Bangladesh from October 2001 to April 2005.
