The overall crime situation, law and order management and crime suppression activities of 13 districts under Dhaka Range for the month of July 2026 have been reviewed.
The monthly crime review meeting for July/2026 was held at the conference room of the Dhaka Range DIG office on Sunday (August 23) at 11 am. The meeting was presided over by Md. Iqbal Hossain, who was promoted to the post of DIG and Additional IGP of Dhaka Range.
The meeting reviewed in detail the overall crime situation, law and order management, crime suppression activities and progress of various important indicators in the month of July in 13 districts under Dhaka Range.




In his speech, DIG Md. Iqbal Hossain gave necessary directions to the unit heads to ensure more effective, professional and people-friendly police activities in crime prevention and control.
He laid special emphasis on rapidly unraveling the mystery of the crime, arresting the accused, warrants and strengthening coordinated and intelligence-based operations to suppress other crimes including drugs, terrorism, juvenile gangs. At the same time, he directed to increase the police’s activity at the field level to maintain the law and order situation and ensure the safety of the people.
RRF Commandant (Additional DIG) Rumana Akhter, PPM-Services; Additional DIG (Administration and Finance) MA Jalil; Additional DIG (Crime Management) Md. Sayfuzzaman Farooqui; Additional DIG (Operations) Md. Siddiqur Rahman; Police Superintendent, Traffic Management and Additional DIG Mohammad Sulaiman, PPM-Services; other senior officials of the Dhaka Range Office and police superintendents of 13 districts under Dhaka Range were present in the meeting.
