US-Bangladesh Business Council delegation meets Prime Minister Tarique Rahman

Desk Report:

A high-level delegation of 50 members of the US-Bangladesh Business Council met with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman with the aim of increasing US investment in Bangladesh and further strengthening commercial and economic relations between the two countries.

The meeting with the Prime Minister was held at 9:30 am today, Thursday (August 13, 2026) at the Bangladesh Secretariat.

The high-level US business delegation was led by Oliver Simpson, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Accelerate Energy, and Ambassador (Retd.) Atul Keshop, President of the US-Bangladesh Business Council and Senior Vice President for South Asia at the US Chamber of Commerce.
