Maldives High Commissioner in Dhaka, Shiuneen Rasheed, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Humayun Kabir. The meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon on Wednesday (August 12, 2026) afternoon.
During the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries and various issues of common interest were discussed. During this time, emphasis was placed on increasing mutual cooperation in various fields including tourism, human resources and investment.
The Foreign Affairs Advisor requested for further expansion of employment opportunities for Bangladeshi manpower in Maldives.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to further strengthen the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Maldives.
