“Pharmacy and Life Sciences Career Fair 2026” was held at BRAC University. This career fair was organized to create job opportunities for current and former students of the Department of Pharmacy, Biotechnology and Microbiology.
This career fair was held at the Merul Badda Campus of the university on Tuesday (11 August 2026). About 25 leading employers in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector participated in it. BRAC University’s Office of Career Services and Alumni Relations organized this career fair.

Milos Mladenovic, Country Manager of Roche Bangladesh Limited, was present as the special guest at the inaugural ceremony. He told the students and job seekers, “Put more importance on making an impact than on titles. Ask yourself, which problems can you solve. Because finding the purpose of life is much more important than any title.”
He added, “There is no need to worry too much about the future. Your first job will not determine your entire career. Take on new challenges. Don’t be afraid to do hard work. Be humane. The ability to build relationships and honesty are two qualities that will take you forward.”

Addressing the students and job seekers, he said, “BRAC University has created a solid foundation for you. Now it is your responsibility to build your own path on it. Because you are the future of Bangladesh.”
BRAC University Vice-Chancellor Professor Syed Farhat Anwar said, “The scope of the life sciences sector is very large. Starting from research and development to services, marketing, brand building and many more. There are job opportunities in all fields. To truly understand this sector, the entire system needs to be viewed holistically.”
He added, “Every aspect is connected to each other. Only by understanding those connections can you find your purpose and if you can do that, it is possible to make an effective contribution to this sector.”
BRAC University Registrar Dr. David Dowland said that the university has taken various strategic initiatives to prepare students for their future careers. Students are being informed about the needs of the industry, including various international partnerships, so that they can better prepare themselves for the job competition.
The closing speech of the event was delivered by Tahsina Rahman, Additional Director and Head of Student Life, BRAC University.
After the opening ceremony, Md. Irtaza Mahbub Akhand, Public Affairs Lead, Roche Bangladesh Limited, conducted a session titled “Beyond Boundaries: Unlock Your Future with Roche Bangladesh Limited”.
In addition, Nisbat Anwar, Chief People Officer, Renata PLC, gave a discussion titled “Building Your Future in Pharmacy and Life Sciences”.
Also present at the event were BRAC University Treasurer Ariful Islam, Assistant Dean of the School of Life Sciences Professor Aparna Islam, Chairperson of the Department of Pharmacy Sharmand Nilotpal, Chairperson of the Department of Biotechnology Iftekhar Bin Naser and Chairperson of the Department of Microbiology Nadia Sultana Din.
Also present were Director of the Office of Communications Khairul Bashar, Director of the Human Resources Department Shahriar Sayeed, Director of the Finance and Accounts Department Mashrur Rahim Sadat and Director of Operations Mohammad Sajedul Karim Chowdhury.
