A safe play area for children has been launched at the Indian Visa Application Centre in Dhaka. The initiative, taken in response to a simple request from a mother, has been highlighted by the Indian High Commission in Dhaka as an example of the people-centric approach to India-Bangladesh relations.
The High Commission of India, Dhaka, informed on social media that during her first visit to the Visa Application Centre, a mother requested Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi to provide a safe play area for children to stay while parents apply for visas.
Within a few weeks of the mother’s request, a play area for children was created at the Visa Application Centre. On the day of the inauguration, the mother brought her child along and witnessed the implementation of her request.
