Nepalese Ambassador to Bangladesh Ghanshyam Bhandari delivered a speech titled ‘Contemporary Nepal: Its Foreign Policy, Security and Development Dimensions, and Nepal-Bangladesh Relations’ to the participants of the NDC-2026 course held at the National Defense College (NDC) in Dhaka on Tuesday (June 30, 2026).

In the speech, the Ambassador highlighted the development of Nepal’s foreign policy, the country’s diplomatic engagement and various aspects of national security policy. He also shed light in detail on Nepal’s development priorities and the government’s ongoing initiatives to ensure socio-economic transformation and sustainable development.
Ambassador Ghanshyam Bhandari also spoke on various aspects of Bangladesh-Nepal bilateral relations. He termed the relations between the two countries as an exemplary neighborly friendship built on the basis of mutual trust, goodwill and cooperation. He expressed hope that this relationship will be further strengthened in the future through increased trade, connectivity, energy, education and people-to-people contacts.

A lively question-and-answer session was held with the participants at the end of the speech. During this, the Ambassador answered various questions from the participants and exchanged views with them on Nepal’s foreign policy, security, development and Bangladesh-Nepal cooperation.
