Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman had a telephonic discussion with Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, this on Thursday (June 18, 2026).
The Azerbaijan Foreign Minister warmly congratulated the Bangladesh Foreign Minister on being elected as the President of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA). During the discussion, the two ministers resolved to further strengthen various aspects of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
The ministers also discussed the opening of resident diplomatic missions in their respective countries. Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman invited the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister to visit Bangladesh at a mutually convenient time.
