Bangladesh Cricket Board unveiled the mascot logo of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) in the middle of last month. BCB has unveiled the tournament mascot ‘Dana-36’ in a special event. With this new mascot, the country’s highest cricket body has taken the initiative to bring innovation to the tournament besides making BPL more globally acceptable.

BCB had already informed that BPL will be a little different this time. Keeping in mind the July-August student-public movement, a plan was taken to make the tournament more public and that plan came from the Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajeeb from near Bhuiyan. In the light of that plan, BPL’s mascot ‘Dana 36’ was unveiled at Hotel Intercontinental on Sunday morning (December 1) at the announcement stage of ‘Youth Festival-2025 to build a new Bangladesh’.

The eleventh season of BPL is going to start on December 30. Whereas the mascot unveiling ceremony was part of the ‘Youth Festival 2025’ organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, Advisor to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives was present as the chief guest on the occasion. Also present were BCB President Farooq Ahmed, Bangladesh Football Federation President Tabith Awal, and other BCB officials. Men’s and women’s national team cricketers and school-college students also participated in the event.
Bangladesh national team’s current captain Nazmul Shanto, former captain Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim were also present at the event. All of them are seen enjoying the story. Apart from this, members of the women’s cricket team were also present.
