Minister for Education and Primary and Mass Education Dr. ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon met with a delegation led by Xiong Yujie, President of Anhui Normal University of China, at his office in the Secretariat in Dhaka on Wednesday (May 6, 2026).
At the time, the minister said that various universities including Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) are in a very good position in the world rankings. We want to go further from this position. Now we are giving importance to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). In this regard, China also has many opportunities for cooperation.
Xiong Yujie said that Anhui Normal University is a unique institution in providing professional training to teachers. Therefore, there is an opportunity to work with this university for improving the quality of education and professional training of teachers. The delegation assured that they will work together in the future to improve the quality of education.
Secretary of the Ministry of Education Abdul Khalek, Secretary of the Technical and Madrasa Education Department Md. Daud Mia and other relevant officials of the ministry were present at the time.
