Housing and Public Works Minister invites Turkish investors to invest in Bangladesh

Diplomatic Desk:

Turkish Ambassador to Bangladesh Ramis Sen met with Housing and Public Works Minister Zakaria Taher at his office in the Secretariat on Tuesday (April 28, 2026). Various issues of mutual interest of the two countries were discussed during the meeting.

During the meeting, the Minister said that Turkey has long-standing friendly relations with Bangladesh. He urged Turkish investors to invest in Bangladesh’s construction sector, shipbuilding, pharmaceuticals and renewable energy sectors.

The Minister said that the Bangladesh government is working towards the economic development of the country. There is a favorable environment for foreign companies to invest in the country.

During the meeting, the Turkish Ambassador mentioned the long-standing relations between the two countries and said that Bangladesh and Turkey have strong relations in various fields including mutual cooperation, partnership and trade. The Ambassador invited the Minister to participate in the ‘Türkiye Construction Summit 2026’ to be held in Turkey in June.
