Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism Afroza Khanam (Rita), MP, has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the tragic incident of loss of life when a passenger bus lost control and fell into the Padma River while boarding a ferry at Daulatdia Ghat No. 3 in Goalanda Upazila of Rajbari.
In a condolence message, the minister said that every life lost in this heartbreaking accident is an irreparable loss not only for a family but also for the entire nation. The pain of suddenly losing a loved one is beyond words. He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant eternal peace to the departed souls of the deceased and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families.
The minister also said that the entire country is expressing its sympathy to the bereaved families in this difficult time. He requested the concerned authorities to extend all-out cooperation to the victims and injured.
He said that it is very important to quickly identify the responsible persons by uncovering the real reasons behind the deaths in the accident and ensure exemplary punishment. In addition, he called on all concerned to take necessary preventive measures through utmost caution, responsibility and increasing public awareness to avoid such tragic accidents in the future.
