India expresses hope to expand bilateral economic cooperation with Bangladesh

Diplomatic Desk:

Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Prannoy Verma paid a courtesy call on Commerce, Industry and Textiles and Jute Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir. The meeting was held at the Commerce Minister’s office at the Secretariat on Monday (March 2, 2026).

The meeting discussed various aspects of trade and commercial partnership between the two countries. High Commissioner Prannoy Verma emphasized the deep and enduring nature of the existing economic relations between Bangladesh and India.

State Minister for Commerce Md. Shariful Alam was also present at the time.
