Dr. Nasimul Ghani, Senior Secretary (Contractual) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed as the new Cabinet Secretary.
This information was given in a notification issued by the Contract and Foreign Employment Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration today (February 16, 2026). The notification was signed by the Ministry’s Senior Assistant Secretary Mohammad Mamun Shibli.
The notification mentioned that in the public interest, Dr. Nasimul Ghani has been appointed as the Cabinet Secretary. It has also been stated that the order issued will be effective immediately.
Currently, Dr. Nasimul Ghani is serving as the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
