BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman contested from Dhaka-17 and Bogra-6 seats in the 13th National Parliament election and won both seats.
According to the law, even if he is elected to more than one seat, he can retain only one seat. In that case, he has decided to give up Bogra-6 seat and take oath as MP from Dhaka-17 constituency.
This information was confirmed by the Election Commission (EC) on Monday (February 16).
