New Trade Adviser Commits to make life easier

The newly appointed Trade Adviser Sheikh Bashir Uddin expressed his commitment to work to make life easier for the people of the country as a whole.

Today Monday (November 11, 2024) trade adviser Sheikh Bashir Uddin said this in a meeting with officials in the conference room of the Ministry of Commerce.

Sheikh Bashir Uddin was sworn in as an adviser to President Sahabuddin on Sunday (November 10, 2024) evening. Later, Sheikh Bashir Uddin was given the responsibility of advisor to the Ministry of Commerce. Today was his first working day in the ministry as an advisor after taking charge.

The trade advisor said, as a result of inflation, the purchasing power has not increased as our money has increased, but the purchasing power has decreased. If we look at a worker, there has been a compromise in his quality of life.

I do not expect any magic from you. We will work collectively. You will have me as a partner. I will try to the best of my ability to make your work more effective.

He said, if we can increase the trade, if we can apply our maximum skills, then it is possible to do well. I expect extra effort from the officials. The advisor expressed his assurance that he will also work hard with the officials.

Ministry of Commerce Secretary Mohang Salim Uddin, Additional Secretary (Administration) Kazi Mozammel Haque, Additional Secretary (Export) Mohammad Naveed Shafiullah, Director General of Trade Organization Division Md. Abdur Rahim Khan, Additional Secretary WTO Division Dr. Nazneen Kawsar Chowdhury and senior officials of the Ministry were present.
