Pakistan Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has expressed his sincere congratulations to BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on his party’s victory in the Bangladesh parliamentary elections. At the same time, he expressed his hope to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations between the two countries.
In a congratulatory message, the Pakistani Prime Minister said, “I extend my sincere congratulations to Mr. Tarique Rahman for leading BNP to an unprecedented victory in the Bangladesh parliamentary elections. At the same time, I also congratulate the people of Bangladesh for successfully organizing the elections.”
In the message, he further mentioned that Bangladesh and Pakistan have historic, brotherly and multidimensional relations to achieve the common goal of peace, stability and development in South Asia and beyond. He expressed his hope to work closely with the new leadership of Bangladesh to take this relationship to new heights.
Shahbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to enhance cooperation and deepen relations with Bangladesh in various areas of mutual interest—especially trade, regional cooperation, and economic development.
