Staff Correspondent:

As part of BNP’s election program ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections, party chairman Tarique Rahman participated in a discussion meeting with youth in Sylhet on Wednesday (January 22, 2026) morning. The discussion meeting was held at a hotel in the city before the scheduled election rally at the Sylhet Government Alia Madrasa Ground.

19 students from various colleges and universities outside of political affiliation participated in the event titled “The Plan: Youth Policy Talk with Tarique Rahman”. They presented their thoughts and policy proposals on the future development, education, health, employment and good governance of Bangladesh.

BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman listened attentively to the speeches of the youth at the event and assured them of giving importance to their opinions in the policymaking of the future state governance. He said, “Youth is the biggest strength of Bangladesh. It is possible to build a modern and democratic Bangladesh based on their thoughts, innovative ideas and bold opinions.”

The students presented various practical proposals on digital education, skill development, employment generation, health sector reforms, and the creation of a corruption-free administration.
