Under the initiative of the Russian House in Bangladesh, a special documentary film screening was held at Daffodil International University as part of the international documentary film festival “RT.DOC: Time of Our Heroes.” The event was organized for students of the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication, highlighting various aspects of contemporary documentary filmmaking.
Following the screening, an interactive question-and-answer session was held with Dmitry Khrustalev, documentary filmmaker and author of the RT Doc channel. During the session, he shared his personal experiences in documentary filmmaking and discussed the challenges, ethics, and responsibilities involved in capturing real-life stories.
In his discussion, Dmitry Khrustalev offered valuable insights into the professional dimensions of documentary journalism, the realities of fieldwork, and the significance of documentary cinema in modern media. His remarks generated keen interest among the students and contributed to enriching their perspectives as aspiring journalists.
