Victory Day celebrated at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University with colorful arrangements

The Victory Day was celebrated at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University with colorful arrangements throughout the day. The day was started by hoisting the national flag in front of the academic building adjacent to the central Shaheed Minar of the university at 6:10 am on December 16, 2025 (Tuesday). Later, all the officials including the VC of the university, Professor Dr. Abdul Latif, placed wreaths at the tomb of martyred President Ziaur Rahman. The national flag was hoisted by Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Latif and the university flag was hoisted. Then, prayers and supplications were offered seeking forgiveness for the souls of the martyrs.

Later, teachers, officers, staff and students, led by the Vice-Chancellor, placed wreaths at the National Memorial. Teachers, officers, employees and students of various departments of SHCU were also present at the time.

On the occasion of the great Victory Day, a painting competition was organized at the Student-Teacher Center at 9 am. Children of teachers, officers and employees working at SHCU participated in this competition in three categories.

Then at 2 pm, a sports competition was organized and prizes were distributed among the winners of various events. The sports competitions included volleyball, pillow passing, balance race, cockfighting and running competition. On the occasion of the day, high-quality food was organized in the university’s residential halls at night.
