To build a modern, prosperous and modern state, we need to create educated people and bring them into leadership: Dr. M A Qayyum

On Monday (November 17), Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP’s Microfinance Affairs Secretary and BNP’s nominated candidate for Dhaka-11 constituency Dr. M A Qayyum made these comments at a program following the inauguration of the newly constructed building of Badda High School.

He inaugurated the newly constructed building of Badda High School on Monday (November 17). As the founder of the school, Dr. Qayyum outlined important guidelines for the students, teachers, guardians and local people present at the program organized on this occasion.

In his inaugural speech, he said that the current committee is working tirelessly for the development of the school. He said that instructions have been given to arrange the primary section in the style of a kindergarten, so that children can have a joyful environment when they come to school. He also highlighted the importance of installing filters for pure water and making the school a zero garbage school. To this end, he urged everyone to work sincerely to install dustbins across the campus and maintain cleanliness.

He said, “We want to develop this school as a model school so that other educational institutions are encouraged to follow the example of this school. At the same time, all necessary initiatives will be taken to improve the quality of education.”

Regarding his contest as a BNP candidate in the next national parliamentary elections, Dr. Qayyum urged everyone present to vote. He reminded that in the past, he had served as the commissioner of this area in the people’s vote and as a son of the area, he had worked for its overall development.

He said that after Begum Khaleda Zia was elected in 1991, new doors of development opened as much land in this area was released. He recalled important infrastructure developments including gas, water connection, and the implementation of the Badda-Gulshan Link Road. He also highlighted the issue of providing plots as part of the rehabilitation of the affected people at that time.

Mentioning the importance of unity in social development, Dr. “If we can all stay together, we can keep our society free from extortionists, drugs and all other evils,” said Qayyum.

Local dignitaries, teachers, students and parents were present at the event.
