Bangladesh High Commissioner holds meeting with expatriates in Johor Baru, Malaysia on voting and NID services in upcoming elections

A meeting was held with expatriate Bangladeshis in Johor Baru, Malaysia in the presence of Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia, Mr. Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury.

The meeting, held at a local hotel on Friday (November 7, 2025), highlighted various aspects of the voting process of expatriate Bangladeshis in the upcoming parliamentary elections, distribution of national identity cards (smart cards), and consular services of the High Commission.

At the event, expatriate Bangladeshis exchanged views with the High Commissioner on the voting process in the upcoming elections, receipt of national identity cards, and services of the High Commission.

At the end of the meeting, High Commissioner Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury distributed national identity cards (smart cards) to the expatriates. A significant number of expatriate Bangladeshis from the Johor Baru region were present at the event.

Bangladesh High Commission Deputy High Commissioner Mosammat Shahanara Monika, Counselor (Consular) Md. Morshed Alam and other officials of the High Commission were present at the event.
