Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd.) has said that the role of the police is paramount and most important in making the next national election free, fair and impartial. The biggest responsibility of fulfilling the expectations of all the people of this country, including political parties, rests on the shoulders of the police. Everyone expects that the Bangladesh Police will set a standard in the upcoming national election, which will be appreciated not only in the country but also in the international arena. The current interim government, including the Bangladesh Police, is working towards this end.
