Sri Lanka Tourism Roadshow and Networking Evening Held in Madurai, India

The “Sri Lanka Tourism Roadshow (B2B) & Networking Evening”—jointly organized by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) and the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB)—was held in Madurai, southern India. The event, held on Monday (October 6, 2025), was the first of its kind in Sri Lanka.

39 leading travel and tourism organizations representing the country’s leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sectors participated from Sri Lanka. They were accompanied by representatives from the country’s premier hotels, resorts, service providers and the national airline, SriLankan Airlines.

The event was attended by over 130 Indian travel trade professionals and 38 media personnel. The organizers expressed hope that this event will play an important role in enhancing mutual cooperation, business relations and new investment opportunities in the tourism industries of the two countries.

The main objective of this roadshow and networking evening was to present Sri Lankan tourism more strongly in the South Indian market and to increase future joint ventures and tourism flows.
