Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad launches e-passport program

The e-passport program was launched on Friday (September 19, 2025) at the Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.

Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Nasimul Ghani inaugurated the e-passport program as the chief guest.

The program was presided over by Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan Md. Iqbal Hossain Khan and Deputy Project Director of the e-passport and automated border control management project Commander Md. Shoaib Khan was present as the special guest.

All the officials and employees of the embassy, ​​including expatriate Bangladeshis and their families, were present at the program.

The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. At the end, special prayers and supplications were offered for the continued peace and prosperity of the country.

With the launch of the e-passport program at the Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad, a new door has been opened in the mutual communication between the people of the two countries.
