Director General of the force, Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, SGP, BAM, NDU, AFWC, PSC, participated in a special session of the ongoing 14-day basic training (Phase 1) organized for the Ansar company/platoon members of the Shahbagh, Lalbagh, Kotwali, Dhanmondi and Mohammadpur police stations of Dhaka Metropolitan Ansar South Zone at the Science Lab BCSIR School and College in the capital. He provided clear guidance to the trainees about their responsibilities and duties in this session held on Wednesday (27 August 2025).
Director Md. Asaduzzaman Gani (Dhaka Metropolitan Ansar), Director Md. Ferdous Ahmed (Zone Commander, South Zone, Dhaka) and senior officers of the force were also present at the event.

The Director General said in his speech that this basic training program has been modernized as an important part of the organizational structure, so that the members can make an effective contribution to the country and society through their skills, discipline and professionalism. He expressed the hope that in addition to preparing for the upcoming parliamentary elections, this training will develop the members as citizens rich in social values and ethics.
He also said that by taking advanced training after the basic training, the members will play a more effective role in national security and socio-economic development. Along with this, he called on everyone to work together in public defense with a spirit of volunteerism.
The Director General instructed the members to be prepared with utmost responsibility to celebrate the upcoming Durga Puja in a peaceful and festive atmosphere.
